naturopathy

Naturopathy is a holistic approach to health, which focuses on finding and addressing the underlying cause of dis-ease. Naturopaths look to remove obstacles that prevent the body’s innate ability to heal (diet, lifestyle, nutrient deficiencies, imbalances, weakened body systems etc.) and use traditional healing methods along with modern-day evidence-based practice to make recommendations to optimise your health. This may include food, lifestyle modifications, nutritional supplementation, herbal medicine, and/or flower essences.

what to expect in an appointment:

The first appointment with your naturopath will be a comprehensive health assessment. Together, you will explore your current health, past history, family history, diet and lifestyle as well as any recent pathology testing results. An individualised treatment plan will be developed specifically for you and your health goals.

how naturopathy can support gut health:

Naturopathy can support your gut health in a number of ways – diet, herbal medicine, nutrient supplementation and lifestyle modifications. Naturopaths can also refer you for functional pathology testing if needed.

Types of functional pathology testing include - Metabiome Microbiome Testing, SIBO Breath Test, Complete digestive stool analysis, Complete microbe mapping, Food sensitivity testing and Intestinal permeability.

Please note all testing is at an additional cost. If further functional pathology is recommended for you, it will be discussed in-depth in your appointment so you can make an informed decision on what is best for you and your health.
